| Description | Recognizes human CD44 (85-95kD) gp90 Hermes and mouse gp85 (Pgp-1). Reacts with the standard CD44 isoform that lacks exon sequences v1-v10. Species Crossreactivity: rabbit, porcine, mouse, rat, canine, bovine cells/tissue. CD44 (H-CAM, Homing Cell Adhesion Molecule) is a 85-90kD transmembrane protein. The human CD44 gene contains 19 exons; 1-5 and 15-19 are expressed by wild-type CD44, also known as the standard hemopoietic form (CD44s). |
