| Description | Rabbit anti caveolin 1 (pTyr14) antibody recognizes caveolin 1 when phosphorylated at tyrosine 14. Caveolin 1 is a member of the caveolin family of proteins which are the main structural components of caveolae. Caveolin-1 has a number of functions, with important roles in cholesterol homeostasis, vesicle trafficking, signal transduction and tumorigenesis (Williams and Lisanti 2005). In response to oxidative stress, caveolin-1 is phosphorylated by Src tyrosine kinase family members, Src, Abl or Fyn at tyrosine 14. |
