| Description | This antibody is specific for mouse Sipa1 protein. A BLAST analysis was used to suggest cross-reactivity with Sipa1 from mouse, human and rat based on a 100% homology with the immunizing sequence. Cross-reactivity with Sipa1 from other sources has not been determined. Sipa 1 (signal-induced proliferation associated gene 1) is amitogen-induced GTPase activating protein. It exhibits specific GAPactivity for Ras-related regulatory proteins Rap1 and Rap2, but not for Ran or other small GTPases. Sipa1 may also hamper mitogen-induced cellcycle progression when abnormally or prematurely expressed. Sipa 1 has been found in the nucleus, cytoplasm and perinuclear regions, but mostin the perinuclear membranous region. |
