| Description | Specificity: Affinity purified rabbit polyclonal anti-acetylated lysine antibodies. It was developed using a unique technique that utilizes the acetylated KLH as immunogen and the acetylated lysine-specific antibodies. It was specifically purified with immobilized acetylated lysine on agarose. The purified antibody is conjugated to fluorescein isothiocyanate. Acetylation of lysine is an important reversible modification. The activities of some proteins are controlled by acetylation of lysine. Histone acetyltransferases (HATs) acetylate the conserved amino-terminal domains of the four core histones (H2A, H2B, H3 and H4) that contain lysines residues.
