| Description | Rabbit anti MEK 4 (pSer257/pThr261) antibody recognizes MAPK/ERK kinase 4 (MEK 4), also known as dual specificity mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase 4, MAP kinase kinase 4 (MAPKK 4), stress-activated protein kinase kinase 1 and JNKK, when phosphorylated at serine 257/threonine 261. MEK 4 is a dual specificity protein kinase and a member of the MAP kinase family. MEK 4 plays a key role in the MAP kinase and SAP/JNK signaling pathways. MEK 4 is activated by phosphorylation at serine 257 and threonine 261 by MAP kinase kinase kinases (MAP3Ks). Downstream targets of activated MEK4 include JNK1, JNK2 and p38 MAPK. |
