Description | This AP2M1 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 387-415 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human AP2M1. This gene encodes a subunit of the heterotetrameric coatassembly protein complex 2 (AP2), which belongs to the adaptorcomplexes medium subunits family. The encoded protein is requiredfor the activity of a vacuolar ATPase, which is responsible forproton pumping occurring in the acidification of endosomes andlysosomes. The encoded protein may also play an important role inregulating the intracellular trafficking and function of CTLA-4protein. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms havebeen found for this gene. |
