| Description | Specificity: Human TNFSF12/TWEAK. TNFSF12/TWEAK is a cytokine that belongs to the tumor necrosis factor(TNF) lig and family. This protein is a lig and for the FN14/TWEAKRreceptor. This cytokine has overlapping signaling functions with TNF, but displays a much wider tissue distribution. This cytokine, whichexists in both membrane-bound and secreted forms, can induce apoptosisvia multiple pathways of cell death in a cell type-specific manner. |
