Description | Specificity: AQP9 antibody detects endogenous levels of total AQP9. Function: Forms a channel with a broad specificity. Mediates passage of a wide variety of non-charged solutes including carbamides, polyols, purines, and pyrimidines in a phloretin-and mercury-sensitive manner, whereas amino acids, cyclic sugars, Na+, K+, Cl-, and deprotonated monocarboxylates are excluded. Also permeable to urea and glycerol.Similarity: Aquaporins contain two tandem repeats each containing three membrane-spanning domains and a pore-forming loop with the signature motif Asn-Pro-Ala (NPA). Belongs to the MIP/aquaporin (TC 1.A.8) family. |
Immunogen | Immunogen: A synthesized peptide derived from human AQP9 Subcellular Location: Membrane. Tissue Specificity: Highly expressed in peripheral leukocytes. Also expressed in liver, lung, and spleen. Predicted Cross Reactivity: Pig, Bovine, Horse, Sheep, Rabbit, Dog, Chicken Similarity: Pig (100%), Bovine (100%), Horse (83%), Sheep (100%), Rabbit (100%), Dog (100%), Chicken (92%) |
