| Description | This CYK18 antibody is generated from mice immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 401-430 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human CYK18. KRT18 encodes the type I intermediate filament chainkeratin 18. Keratin 18, together with its filament partner keratin8, are perhaps the most commonly found members of the intermediatefilament gene family. They are expressed in single layer epithelialtissues of the body. Mutations in this gene have been linked tocryptogenic cirrhosis. Two transcript variants encoding the sameprotein have been found for this gene. |
