| Description | This CASP3 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 219-248 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human CASP3. This gene encodes a protein which is a member of thecysteine-aspartic acid protease (caspase) family. Sequentialactivation of caspases plays a central role in the execution-phaseof cell apoptosis. Caspases exist as inactive proenzymes whichundergo proteolytic processing at conserved aspartic residues toproduce two subunits, large and small, that dimerize to form theactive enzyme.
