| Description | Mouse anti hnRNPK antibody, clone F45 P9 C7 specifically recognizes hnRNP K (heterogeneous ribonucleotide protein K), a 464 amino acid acidic protein found in the nucleus, cytoplasm and mitochondria, shown to be involved in transcription, mRNA shuttling and the translation and editing of RNA. Over-expression of hnRNP K has been demonstrated in cancerous tissue including that of the colon, breast, liver and lungs, and its involvement in cell migration has been implicated in tumour metastasis. Studies have also shown that hnRNP K increases the transcriptional activity of the c-myc and c-src oncogenes. |
