Description | Specificity: Phospho-PPAR-BP (Thr1457) antibody detects endogenous levels of PPAR-BP only when phosphorylated at Threonine 1457. Description: The activation of gene transcription is a multistep process that is triggered by factors that recognize transcriptional enhancer sites in DNA. These factors work with co-activators to direct transcriptional initiation by the RNA polymerase II apparatus. The protein encoded by this gene is a subunit of the CRSP (cofactor required for SP1 activation) complex, which, along with TFIID, is required for efficient activation by SP1.Function: Component of the Mediator complex, a coactivator involved in the regulated transcription of nearly all RNA polymerase II-dependent genes. Mediator functions as a bri |
Immunogen | Immunogen: A synthesized peptide derived from human PPAR-BP around the phosphorylation site of Threonine 1457 Subcellular Location: Nucleus. A subset of the protein may enter the nucleolus subsequent to phosphorylation by MAPK1 or MAPK3. Tissue Specificity: Ubiquitously expressed. Predicted Cross Reactivity: Bovine, Horse, Sheep, Rabbit, Dog, Chicken, Xenopus Similarity: Bovine (100%), Horse (100%), Sheep (100%), Rabbit (100%), Dog (100%), Chicken (92%), Xenopus (91%) |
