| Description | This KCNJ1 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 345-374 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human KCNJ1. Potassium channels are present in most mammalian cells,where they participate in a wide range of physiologic responses.The protein encoded by this gene is an integral membrane proteinand inward-rectifier type potassium channel. It is activated byinternal ATP and probably plays an important role in potassiumhomeostasis. The encoded protein has a greater tendency to allowpotassium to flow into a cell rather than out of a cell.
