| Description | Specificity: NDUFA4 antibody detects endogenous levels of total NDUFA4. Description: Accessory subunit of the mitochondrial membrane respiratory chain NADH dehydrogenase (Complex I), that is believed to be not involved in catalysis. Complex I functions in the transfer of electrons from NADH to the respiratory chain. The immediate electron acceptor for the enzyme is believed to be ubiquinone.Function: Cytochrome c oxidase (COX, complex IV) is the terminal component of the mitochondrial respiratory chain that catalyzes the reduction of oxygen to water. Required for complex IV maintenance.Subunit Structure: Component of the cytochrome c oxidase complex (COX, complex IV).Similarity: Belongs to the complex IV NDUFA4 subunit family. |
