| Description | The recombination of RET tyrosine kinase with several genes, such as GOLGA5 and the H4 gene, results in a consitutively active oncogenic protein. Mutations in this gene are associated with the disorders multiple endocrine neoplasia, type IIA, multiple endocrine neoplasia, type IIB, Hirschsprung disease, and medullary thyroid carcinoma. |
