| Description | Specificity: Western blot analysis of extracts of various cell lines, using GLUL antibody. Immunohistochemical of paraffin-embedded human thyroid cancer using GLUL antibody at dilution of 1:200 (400x lens). Immunofluorescence analysis of MCF-7 cell using GLUL antibody. Blue: DAPI for nuclear staining. The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the glutamine synthetase family. It catalyzes the synthesis of glutamine from glutamate and ammonia. Glutamine is a main source of energy and is involved in cell proliferation, inhibition of apoptosis, and cell signaling.
