| Description | This UBA7 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 239-268 amino acids from the N-terminal region of human UBA7. The modification of proteins with ubiquitin is animportant cellular mechanism for targeting abnormal or short-livedproteins for degradation. Ubiquitination involves at least threeclasses of enzymes: ubiquitin-activating enzymes, or E1s,ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes, or E2s, and ubiquitin-proteinligases, or E3s. This gene encodes a member of the E1ubiquitin-activating enzyme family.
