| Description | The antibody Bra30 is directed against a monomorphic determinant of human HLA Class II. The antibody recognises an epitope on the HLA-DR molecule that is dependent on the association of both heavy and lights chains of the HLA class II molecule. The antibody does not cross react with either HLA-DP or HLA-DQ molecules. The antibody has not been tested for cross reactivity with other species. The major histocompatibility complex (MHC) is a cluster of genes that play an important role in the immune response. In humans, this complex is referred to as the Human Leucocyte Antigen (HLA) system and is located on chromosome 6.
