| Description | Specificity: CASPASE-7 (ACTIVE). Rabbit anti caspase-7 antibody recognizes caspase-7. Caspase-7 is a member of the cysteine-aspartic acid protease family. The active form of caspase-7 is generated via cleavage of the pro-caspase-7 by caspase 3, 9 or 10. Caspase-7 is an effector caspase that plays a role in the cleavage of the DNA repair and apoptosis mediating PARP (Poly ADP-ribose polymerase) proteins.Caspase activity can be inhibited by c-IAP1, c-IAP2, XIAP and other members of the inhibitor of apoptosis protein family. |
