| Description | Specificity: Glucagon-Like Peptide 1 Receptor (GLP1R) (This antibody is specific for the cytoplasmic domain of GLP1R). Glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) is a 30 amino acid peptide hormone secreted from the gut endocrine cells in response to nutrient ingestion. GLP-1 regulates gastrointestinal motility and islet hormone secretion. In particular it stimulates insulin and inhibits glucagon secretion, thereby indirectly modulating peripheral glucose uptake and control of hepatic glucose production. GLP-1 exerts its action on gastric emptying through the GLP-1 receptor (GLP1R). GLP1R is 489 amino acids in mouse and 463 amino acids in rat and human.
