Description | Rabbit anti Dog luteinizing hormone polyclonal antibody was raised in rabbits against highly purified canine luteinizing hormone. In a simple radioimmune assay with iodinated tracers, the antibody was shown to be specific for canine luteinizing hormone (LH), also known as lutropin and does not react with canine growth hormone (GH), follicle stimulating hormone (FSH), prolactin or thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH). Luteinizing hormone is one of the four major glycoprotein hormones and consists of non-covalently linked alpha and beta chains. Rabbit anti dog luteinizing hormone antibody was raised against the intact hormone but does not cross react with the other major glycoprotein hormones which also contain the common the alpha chain.
