| Description | This KRT31 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 60-89 amino acids from the N-terminal region of human KRT31. The protein encoded by this gene is a member of thekeratin gene family. As a type I hair keratin, it is an acidicprotein which heterodimerizes with type II keratins to form hairand nails. The type I hair keratins are clustered in a region ofchromosome 17q12-q21 and have the same direction of transcription. |
