| Description | Anti-Aspartate Transaminase is an IgG fraction antibody purified from monospecific antiserum by a multi-step process which includes delipidation, salt fractionation and ion exchange chromatography followed by extensive dialysis against the buffer stated above. Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Sheep Serum as well as purified and partially purified Aspartate Transaminase (AST) [Pig Heart]. Cross reactivity against Aspartate Transaminase (AST) from other tissues and species may occur but have not been specifically determined. Anti-Aspartate Transaminase is detects Aspartate Transaminase. Aspartate Transaminase is a pyridoxal phosphate (PLP)-dependent transaminase enzyme. AST catalyzes the reversible transfer of an α-amino group between aspartate and glutamate and, as such, is an important enzyme in amino acid metabolism. Anti-Aspartate Transaminase antibody is ideal for investigators involved in Cell Signaling, cellular biology and Signal Transduction research. |
