| Description | CD96, also known as TACTILE (T cell-activated increased late expression), is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein, belonging to the Ig superfamily. It is expressed on NK cells and T cells (upregulated after activation), but not on normal B cells and myeloid cells. CD96 is also found on some acute myeloid leukemia (AML) cells, and T cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL), as a leukemia stem cell-specific marker.
