Product Name | Human Endoneural Endothelial Cells (Thendec), Immortalized |
Description | Immortalized human endoneurium endothelial cells (THEndEC) is a useful model for promoting receptor-mediated BNB permeability and/or kinetic studies in vitro, in addition to its sensitivity to drug poisoning studies, because it retains specialized transporters (Ie P-gp, γ-GT, LAT-1, CRT and MCT-1) and restricted barrier function cells similar to primary neuroendothelial endothelium. THEndEC has been characterized as showing specific binding to UEA-1 lectin and the ability to uptake Dil-Ac-LDL, indicating α-L-fucose expression and specialized scavenger receptor expression, respectively. Further research proved the use of THEndEC's transendothelial resistance (TEER) and permeability to sodium fluorescein and dextran, making this cell line also suitable for peripheral nerve permeability studies. |
