| Description | We transfected NeuCELL™ VM human neural stem cells with lentiviruses encoding APPSL/PSEN1(E9) and fluorescent proteins as detectors for viral infection. The highest transgene-expressing cells were sought out using FACS, and the cells were then encapsulated in a 3D Matrigel culture medium. Aggregation of AB was noticed during a differentiation period of roughly six weeks. After 10-14 weeks, it was easy to see a robust deposition of phosphorylated tau along neurofibrillary tangles. |
