| Description | CD366 (TIM-3) Antibody Kit, anti-human, PE, REAlease®. Clone REAL226 is an antibody fragment derived from the full CD366 (TIM-3) antibody molecule. It displays no binding to Fc receptors. The recombinantly engineered antibody fragments are multimerized to form the REAlease Complex to bind markers with high avidity. | Clone REAL226 recognizes the human CD366 antigen, a single-pass type I membrane protein which is also known as T cell immunoglobulin and mucin domain containing protein-3 (TIM-3) or Hepatitis A virus cellular receptor 2 (HAVcr-2). CD366 is expressed on activated T cells, especially T?1 cells, monocytes, macrophages, and dendritic cells. It is an activation-induced inhibitory molecule involved in tolerance and shown to induce T cell exhaustion in chronic viral infection and cancers. CD366 has been proposed to inhibit T?1-mediated immune responses and regulates T?1 and T?17 cytokine secretion. The interaction of CD366 and its ligand galectin-9 induces apoptosis of T?1 cells. | The REAlease Kits consist of the respective fluorochrome-conjugated REAlease Complexes and the REAlease Support Kit for removal of the REAlease Complexes and optional relabeling with different fluorochrome-conjugated REAlease Complexes. |
