Product Name | Recombinant human Sirtuin 2/SIRT2 protein |
Description | Domain: 1-352aa. Recombinant human SIRT2 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques. MW: 41.6 kDa (372aa) confirmed by MALDI-TOF. Purity > 90% by SDS-PAGE. SIRT2 (NAD-dependent deacetylase sirtuin-2) is a member of the sirtuin family of proteins, homologs to the yeast Sir2 protein. Members of the sirtuin family are characterized by a sirtuin core domain and grouped into four classes and are involved in diverse processes, including transcriptional regulation, cell cycle progression, DNA-damage repair and aging. SIRT2 is a NAD-dependent deacetylase, which deacetylates the 'Lys-40' of alpha-tubulin |
