Product Name | Recombinant human LBP protein |
Description | Domain: 26-481aa. Recombinant human LBP, fused to His-tag at C-terminus, was expressed in HEK293 cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques. MW: 51.7kDa (462aa). Purity > 95% by SDS-PAGE. LBP, also known as Lipopolysaccharide-binding protein, is a glycoprotein member of the BPI/LBP family of lipid-binding proteins. LBP is a glycoprotein that is synthesized principally by hepatocytes. It binds to the lipid A moiety of bacterial lipopolysaccharides (LPS), a glycolipid present in the outer membrane of all Gram-negative bacteria. It binds to LPS to elicit immune responses by presenting the LPS to important cell surface pattern recognition receptors called CD14 and TLR4 |
