Product Name | Recombinant human Langerin/CD207 protein |
Description | Domain: 65-328aa. Recombinant human CD207, fused to His-tag at C-terminus, was expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques. MW: 30.9 kDa (273aa). Purity > 90% by SDS-PAGE. CD207, also known as C-type lectin domain family 4 member K, is a type 2 transmembrane glycoprotein. This protein is used as a marker for Langerhans cell which represent the immature dendritic cells in the epidermis. Also, it internalizes endogenous proteins such as type 1 procollagen. Internalization by Langerhans cell is thought to lead to suppression of self reactions. CD207 meditates endocytosis of non-peptide antigens containing mannose, N-acetyl glucosamine and fucose that are expressed by mycobacteria and fungae |
