Specific to HIW, no staining was observed in hiw mutants. 6H4 was isolated during a screen for anti-highwire mAbs [PMID: 10839352] but has since been shown to cross-react with a second unidentified presynaptic epitope distinct from Hiw in hiw mutant [PMID: 16237161].
